Firstly thanks for providing a forum to ask our questions so directly to the experts..
Here is my team of 15
1) Sachin 2) Sehwag 3) Gauti 4) Yuvraj 5) Kohli 6) Raina
7) Dhoni 8) Bhajji 9) Zaheer 10) Nehra 11) Munaf
12-15) Uthappa, Sreesanth, Ashwin and Yusuf Pathan…
I have a question for Ayaz too… q) With so few ODI’s remaining before the cup starts; is India committing a mistake by not playing a regular 11 considering it may be tough for the seniors to gel well immediately together in their roles and the new comers like Kohli may be asked to play a different role to their current task in the team???
Shreyas,
Thanks for the response and will definitely try to ask him your question – in fact we did broach some part of it in our first podcast:-)
Guess India’s world cup squad should have no surprises – seems a pretty set bunch:-) My problem though is where do you play Kohli who has made the No3 position his own in the last one year.
my prob is the domino effect… like gambhir goes from 1 to 3… if he comes aftyer the powerplays he would have to adjust his game completely… also if kohli, yuvi, raina play… thn we have 6 batters and dhoni which means no yusuf and just 4 regular bowlers… like u said ..the composition sounds grt on paper but wud b really tested if our regular bowlers get hammered or we need to score at 9-10 for 10-12 overs to win…
